Etna Rosso 2006 Cottanera
As I promised after a short tour I had in Sicily I will rate some wine of this area.
Before I talk about this wine I want to say that is not so easy to find such a fine quality when we are talking about a production of around 300.000 bottles per year. This is one of these rare cases.
With a mineral character that expresses well in my opinion all the peculiarities of the territory that is undoubtedly unique. The wine is a simple and pleasant medium-bodied, quite soft, with good freshness and good fruits, especially cherry. The palate is quite rounded and as I said minerals are evident feelings of lava rock.
