Chianti Classico 2006 – Castello di Ama
I have to admit that 90% of the time that I think about a Chianti, my mind recall an image connected to Castello di Ama, and this is not a case because this winery with this wine and even more with Vigneto la Casuccia gives a wonderful expression of the Chianti. This wine has a beautiful ruby color is very concentrated, with lovely floral nose of violet and cyclamen with hints of black pepper and humus. The mouth is persistent, with a huge tannin structure, but not aggressive, a persistence that seems to have no end. A wine of tremendous character, which celebrates perfectly the greatness of Chianti Sangiovese.![]()
