Quater 2009 – Firriato
Reading the label of this wine you can guess that this wine seems to be a real challenge. It ‘made with 4, and let me underline 4, native Sicilian grape varieties differ. The idea of being faced with a very balanced wine is strong. However, I take off the prejudice and wait for the waiter will do his duty. Surprise! The wine at the nose seems well balanced but at the same time strong, powerful, I would say. Personally, I love you loads and structured wines, but perhaps more than a match for the fish dinner a fish fry. And even if the experiment is successful, I would not call this wine a summer wine (read fresh) given its 14% alcohol, which together with the load they do taste very good but might be a bit heavy.
