Il Pareto 1999 – Tenuta di Nozzole
We know since a long time, the international varieties blend well pair with the wonderful land of Tuscany, This cabernet is an other proof. I found by accident a while ago a bottle of 1999 and frankly I thought I had waited a little too much to open it and I did not expect a great result, I was wrong. I do not remember what I paid for this wine but for sure I have made a good deal. As I said is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in the Tuscany region and more precisely in Greve in Chianti, and I think is the flagship wine of the Tenuta of Nozzole, owned by the family Folonari that held estates in Tuscany. The wine is aged after harvest in french oak barrels for 16/18 marketed not before he spent at least 6 months in bottle. It has an intense ruby red color (considering that the bottle I had drunk was 12 years old) with a pleasant smell of vanilla and red fruit of wild berries, where prevailing blackberries in my opinion. The flavor is elegant with soft tannins would call refined, and good persistence.
